We're Baaack!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!!

Damn we have been on a long hiatus, so here's some ranting goodness, with plenty more to come...

DDRK:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/niu_shooting;_ylt=Aqd7a1HylWH5GP4KsSXqpGas0NUE

Another one. Who wants to bet he had past mental issues that were overlooked? Still a coward nonetheless, I would wish that the media would never release his name, just throw his body in a ditch and be done with it. Said he was a graduate student too, lame. Punish other people for your own problems, good job.

TH:
I know we all love guns in this country but one has to wonder how much more we can tolerate of nuts able to fully arm themselves against an unarmed citizenry.

DDRK:
Very true. I don’t know what the best way to proceed is. Because being realistic, there is no way you can protect yourself from suicidal and crazy people. But perhaps maybe raising the age at which to own a gun could help, same thing with driving age. We don’t want troubled teens and students that have control of such things. I wouldn’t mind seeing the driving age raised to 18 and owning a handgun raised to 25. I love guns, but surely something can be done. More so, just like Cho, I am sure this guy had mental issues that people ignored, and as a country we need to take those issues more seriously. Realistically an outright ban of guns wont work, we have seen that in other cities, as suicidal and crazy people will find other ways to kill, or even get guns by informal means.

TH:
Before delving into the gun issue itself, better control and restrictions or trying to go the other way we need to very publicly destroy the perps. The most disturbing thing that can be said about males is to suggest they have sexual orientation issues. That is in fact the prime motivator for murders of this and the serial killer type. Since being viewed as a homo is their biggest fear we should assure them this will in fact be how they are judged. How appealing do the Columbine kids and Cho and company look when outed as latent homos too defective to deal with the truth? That doesn’t appeal to the machismo that the media is currently feeding. To glorify in the current manner is motivating the copy-cats. Put the dreaded homo-label on them and watch them run from it. Even blatant examples like John Wayne Gacy could not admit his foggotry problem despite the bodies of 33 BOYS in his basement.

DDRK:
I will forever hold a grudge against the whores at NBC for showing the public the contents of the box that Cho sent them. They played right into his hands and that was his dying wish. Good job, sold their souls to get headlines. I like how all the media bash on corporations when they slip up and always sight corporate responsibility/accountability, but yet they don’t hold themselves responsible or accountable either, always citing free speech, etc., when they make these school shootings worse by portraying the gunmen as human. We should be demonizing these cowards.

TH:
Agreed demonize them as cowards, defects and gay and it won’t seem so glamorous after all. Maybe we can build a special scumbag cemetery for them, the polar opposite of Arlington. “You’re going to the A$$HAT museum!!!”

DDRK:
Or put them in the running for D@uche of the universe awards from the episode of South Park

Lil Bush, Fox's attempt at Comedy and of course Paris... Then we talk Pants!

Ahhh little Bush, comedy centrals attempt at another Bush parody....

Unfortunately the show falls flat on it's face, not all that funny, if you want to do a Bush show, bring back that's my Bush... Let the ranting begin:

DRK:
A terrible show… Not all too funny and for me, the animation was too crude to watch and I watch a lot of animated shows…

DDRK:
The other one comedy central came out with, "That’s my bush" was pretty funny.

DRK:
Yes!
That’s my Bush was hilarious, I think they canned it b/c it was a little too real…

TH:
If you want an example of horrid Goebbels quality comedy try Fox News channels "Half Hour Comedy Hour" or "Red Eye". No concept of humor just a bunch of fools who think "liberal" is a funny punch line no matter what. On the order of "how many Jews can you fit in a Volkswagen? Answer: 10,004. One in each seat and 10,000 in the ashtray". Ha Ha Ha, Hilary is a bitch, ha ha ha, Rush Limbaugh as President solves all from a beach in the bahamas drinking cocktails with 2 playmates. Even Michael Moore is funnier.

DRK:
I’ve seen the red eye and I would rather stare at a brown eye, than watch that crap again… A horrid show, the people on it have 0 knowledge of anything.

TH:
God, what an articulate rip. Nice spin.

DRK:
What can I say, the folks on the show merely just read from the daily headlines and spout verbal diarrhea on par with Beavis and Butthead.

TH:
The way you segued from Red Eye to Brown was brilliantly pithy as a righteous rip.

DRK:
Well, their show sucks, I don’t think Paris Hiltons brown eye could save that show…
Speaking of, did you hear the reason why they let her out early, the poor little creature couldn’t poo b/c the crapper doesn’t offer any privacy???
You’re in a jail, first off and second, we’ve all seen your privates, so I don’t see the big deal, here’s a bowl of fiber and the bible, enjoy.

Let's shift gears...

Asphalt:
Good lord, this thing has actually gone to trial?
http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSN1226421520070613

TH:
Yeah, I couldn't believe it. And all's we hear about are frivilous suits against doctors. How can they justify the incredible cost to taxpayers? So you lost you pants, stuff happens, we don't need to compensate you for every little tummy ache. The guy is obviously a mental case, why endorse crazy? Get him some help and by that I mean in a hospital not a court room. I hope they make this ass pay the Cleaner's legal fees and a penalty for putting them through this since they offerred to make good all the way up to paying the dick 12,000 to just leave them alone. Welcome to America, hard working, law abiding people.

DRK:
I hope they stop it in tracks, a truly absurd case and a waste of taxpayers dollars:
The case, expected to conclude Wednesday, has attracted attention as an example of over-litigiousness in the United States.
I agree with Jack, turn the tables on this clown and make him a nice million dollar sum to the cleaners for wasting their time and being inconsiderate by turning down their initial 12K offer, they are pants, I don’t care if they are made from Chinchilla’s or Yeti hair…

DDRK:
Such things are good. We have ignored all of our domestic issues the past 30 years now we are busting at the seams. No way the judge can rule in favor, just like the mcdonald’s lawsuit, there would be thousands of lawsuits filed by people the next day to get money. He should be stripped of his bar degree after this.

DRK:
Exactly, so now we have about 5 years to fix 30 years of neglect…

Paris, Injustice, Self Defense & Freaks

DRK:
Paris… wtf!!!! How!!! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070607/ap_on_en_tv/paris_hilton

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton was released from jail early Thursday due to an unspecified medical condition after serving only three days of a 23-day sentence.

Let me guess she was diagnosed with a case of reality!!!! Give me a break, I mean we do have laws in place for a reason, what is she going to learn while on house arrest, her lavish lifestyle at home is equal to that of a five star hotel!!!! Once again the system fails and caves in to pandering celebs and their needs/influences (In this case probably $$$$$$$$$).

"I am trying to be strong right now," she told reporters at the time. "I'm ready to face my sentence. Even though this is a really hard time, I have my family, my friends and my fans to support me, and that's really helpful."

DDRK:
What a bunch of crap. I hope the Sheriff doesn’t get re-elected. Same thing with the DA and all of his assistants. I am sure the judge is irate.

DRK:
It’s a total load… Unless anorexia is a “medical condition” or being a complete slore, then I could see why she was given this break.

Bilbo:
Why can't she be a Martha Stewart and take it like Woman? My wife said it was probably a broken nail. And did you hear that she didn't have to go thru a body cavity search? Talk about material . . .

TH:
that's probably because its all in the public domain Maybe if you post your anus on the net they'll let you pass too.

DRK:
People are more acquainted with her chocolate starfish more so than actual starfish in the sea or at aquarium, right there with Brittney Spears’ roast beef sandwich being showcased in the
media…

Now for something completely different!!!

DDRK:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070607/ap_on_re_us/missing_teen

Sucks and I guarantee that this guy has priors too. Just wait.

DasBOOT!:
And possibly a pillar of his church, ala BTK.

DRK:
Probably both of you are right, but if a guy forces you into a vehicle and if he is the only one involved, grab his nuts like there is no tomorrow and squeeze till they turn into diamonds, he will forgot all about the abduction…

DDRK:
Yup, that is what I tell most girls when they inquire about self defense. If you grab or kick their groin, for the former squeeze until they let you go and run off for the latter kick them repeatedly. Then I say kick them when they are down and steal their wallet. See how many people they are going to want to mug/rape/assault after they get their asses kicked and their own stuff stolen. Or just shoot them and let the rats eat some dinner. Either way I don’t consider rapists as people so I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it, just like stepping on an annoying bug/pest. Best thing is to carry pepper spray, but they have to have that out on their key chain or something. I doubt the girl in KC had that option since she was pretty much stalked.

TH:
I say no matter the consequences you put up your fight in public, even if you die there it is better than taking a chance on letting someone kill you at their leisure where you have no chance of getting help.

DDRK:
That is what all the experts say, especially when there are weapons involved. If you get in the car with them studies show that almost every time you will turn up a corpse. Odds are a guy isn’t going to shoot you in public either, they are just using the weapon as a means to get you to comply. Did I ever tell you the story of one of my friend’s relatives in Florida? The guy, in his fifties, was getting something from a convenience store/gas station after going to the shooting range. Two thugs ran up to him and threw him in the back of his trunk. So what did he do? He had two pistols and lots of ammo still left, had those suckers loaded and ready when the car stopped. The car came to a stop, the two perps were there and as soon as the trunk popped open, bang bang, two scumbags dead. My buddy’s relative got out of the car and found that he was in the everglades; you can only imagine what they were going to do to him.

TH:
even if you do get shot you have a chance and you weren't raped or tortured and the perp gets no satisfaction and the odds of catching him go way up.

DRK:
It’s the smart thing to do, but most of the time women (in this case) are not trained to react so, it’s a sad time we live in because honestly I think all women should know how to react in a situation like this and should seek training once they hit 8th grade or so; as it can happen to anyone. Now the US just needs to take a much harder stance on executing these scumbags once they get into the “system” as re-hab does nothing for them and then to release them back into society only leaves an eye sore on that community where they reside. In addition to that, who wants a known sexual predator living next to them?

TH:
first humiliation, then execution.

Iraq, death, goats and bush???

DRK:
Ok…

I am sick and tired of hearing about the death toll in Iraq…

First off:

1. It’s a war, what else did you expect to happen, flying Unicorns, Rainbows and Leprechauns dancing in rivers of gold (Or if they are German Leprechauns, Urine).

2. Any major city in the US will rival that Death toll over the span of almost 4 years…

3. These are soldiers, this is what they do and they understand the consequences.

4. Their deaths should not be made out to be some sort traveling circus freak show; I hate how the media uses this to their advantage and picks on the weak willed/minded Americans.

TH:
The problem is the mission, our guys are trained to kick ass and capture not offer themselves up as targets

same thing happened to the Russians.

DDRK:
One main issue is that our tactics have not been able to keep up with urban warfare. Sending troops in there just as the Russians did in Afghanistan is clearly not working. If they really want to curb the number of insurgents coming in, I say put a mine field on Iraq’s border with Iran. I still don’t get how we don’t have better technology in helping our troops detect bombs, which have caused 70% of our troop deaths. I always hear of the terrorists and insurgents getting their butts kicked even when they ambush our guys. But planting bombs is a different matter.

Or perhaps we should just do what Sherman did when Confederate Guerillas planted roadside bombs to impede his march. He starting marching confederate prisoners in front of his own troops and the bombings stopped. But that would also require the enemy to care about their own, which is clearly not the case in Iraq. But it still would save our troops lives for sure.

DRK:
Or release thousands of goats all over the war zones, BBQ goat anyone? It could also draw out those lonely terrorist looking for a new goat!

TH:
Or try something simpler, like leaving it to the various Arab peoples of the region to solve. This protecting the oil fields goes back to FDR and it is no longer working for us.

DDRK:
Yeah, but Bush was so naïve he didn’t have any worst case scenario’s played out. I think all the neighbors to Iraq are loving it, all their extremists are flocking over there in droves to get martyred. Without Iraq, they would have to deal with their own problems.

DRK:
It seems the U.S. just loves to take abuse (Are we into S&M?) and yes, we need to re-think our Middle East relations/strategies, as TH pointed out, it isn’t working.

DDRK:
I think we lost out on having a great “big stick” policy. I always thought Bush should have been more assertive in showing our strength. I would have liked him to say, “If we hear that your country is harboring Al Qaeda we will take them out, and if you hinder us, we will take you out and leave.” Then give the bill to the Arab league and let them fix their own mess. That gives them impetus to work with us because we wouldn’t care about destabilizing their government and economy since we wouldn’t be occupying their country. See how many of our allies would be double dealing then, knowing full well we don’t care about their government.

Instead we get locked into a dreadful occupation and try to instill democracy again when we don’t even have it right.

DRK:
It’s a nice thought, but very unlikely, I believe if Bush had the proper people in place (Advisors/Cabinet) this mess with Iraq could have panned out a little differently, as I think many of those individuals were merely looking out for themselves and not necessarily the U.S. or the President, who becomes the ideal scapegoat when the sh!t hits the fan..

History Channel, we love you...

DRK:
History Channel tonight!

Modern Marvels : Torture Devices. Airs on Wednesday June 06 08:00 PM
For more than 3,000 years, emperors and generals, dictators and police, criminals, clerics, and even medical doctors have created and used a vast array of torture devices--everything from the ancient Greeks' Brazen Bull, which slowly barbecued the victim, to the elaborate mechanical apparatuses of the Spanish Inquisition. A medical doctor who specializes in victims of torture reveals how the human body responds to their use--from the earliest excruciating contrivances to the more modern.

DDRK:
That is definitely one for the DVR. I swear 90% of my stuff is history channel.

TH:
most of the great advances in cruelty were clergy driven in all cultures, don't you love people who honor god thus?

DDRK:
I remember when I visited St. Peter’s Castle in Bodrum, viewing their torture chamber. St. Peter’s was home to the Knights of St. John, a Christian crusading order and main rival to the Templars. Anywho, when you descend into the torture chamber, written at the top of the entrance to the stairwell down is “God does not live here” in Latin. Nice. I feel that way everytime I walk down the stairs into my office.

TH:
Nice comment, great end line.

DRK:
I will say that the torture exhibit we saw in Italy was pretty grim too… The pear and whatever the one was called where they hung you upside down and cut you in half, follow the link to see a handful of the twisted devices or for a more comprehensive list

TH:
Remember too these were largely starving people short on resources who devoted a significant portion of their wealth to inflict suffering on their fellow man, not unlike talk radio.

Priceless

So the Cubs are at Milwaukee last night.

A Brewer hits a pop-up real high. Five cub players come to within 10 feet of each other around the mound, and watch as it bounces between them. Pinella - of course, is on suspension and watching from a press box, and turns redder than a blood blister. Priceless!
